Nepal High Point Trekking offers wonderful adventure that takes you first to explore the hidden ridges of Annapurna massif range at Mardi Himal located beyond mainstream trails and villages where walk leads to high hills then reaching at the bottom of towering Machhapuchare Himal, famously known as Fish Tail peaks, due to its twin summit tops and at the base of Mardi Himal.

Where you will have marvelous and exciting moments overlooking grand panorama of Annapurna-Manaslu and Dhaulagiri mountains and then our next adventure leads you back on the trail within lovely villages of Landruk and Ghandruk populated by Gurung people where you can witness the local immense culture and traditional farm life.

After Ghandruk journey continues heading into the remote isolated country with ever present views of Annapurna within dense rhododendron woodland as walks continue with ca limb to reach at marvelous scenic ridges at Khopra in between Mt. Dhaulagiri and Annapurna range, where side hike extends to holy Khair Lake a glacial pond hidden behind peaks of Annapurna.

With glorious time in serene surrounding then downhill to Chitre back on main trekking trails to reach at Ghorepani and Poon Hill a nice village inhabited by Poon-Magar people, where early morning hike takes you on top Poon Hill for striking views of the sunrise over range Himalayan mountain range.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu trek preparation with an option on tour around world heritage sites.

Day 03: Fly or drive to Pokhara 860 m (30 mins on air) -06 hrs overland ride.

Day 04: Drive to Dhampus 1,540 m - 02 hrs, trek to Potana 1,895 m - 03 hrs.

Day 05: Trek to Kokar Forest camp 2,515 m via Deurali 2, 050 m - 05 hrs.

Day 06: Trek to Low Camp 2,968 m - 025 hrs.

Day 07: Trek to High Camp 3,710 m - 05 hrs.

Day 08: At High Camp for a hike to Mardi Himal base camp above 4,495 m.

Day 09: Trek to Low Camp - 06 hrs. 

Day 10: Trek to Landruk village 1,520 m - 05 hrs.

Day 11: Trek to Tadapani 2,630 m - 06 hrs.

Day 12: Trek to Dobato 3,349 m - 04 hrs.

Day 13: Trek to Kopra Ridge 3,870 m-06 hrs. 

Day 14: At Kopra Ridge for optional excursion to holy Khair Lake 4,620 m.

Day 15: Trek to Sauta village 2,200 m - 05 hrs.

Day 16: Trek to Ghorepani village 2,880 m - 05 hrs.

Day 17: Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,460 m - 05 hrs.

Day 18: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara - 3 hrs walks and 2 hrs ride.

Day 19: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 20: Depart Nepal for international flight home-ward bound.


Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

On reaching at Kathmandu international airport received by Nepal High Point Trekking staff and guide with warm welcome then transfer to your hotel in centre of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed in your rooms join for group briefing regarding your stay in Nepal, where guides will provide information about the trek-local lodge-hotels-culture and other necessary information related to this trekking.

Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu trek preparation with an optional tour around world heritage sites.

In Kathmandu, a free day preparation for trekking with optional sightseeing around Kathmandu, as the valley is steeped with many world heritage sites and important monuments and religious-historical sites.

Day 03: Fly or drive to Pokhara 860 m (30 mins on air) -06 hrs overland ride.

Morning after early breakfast transfer for a long drive of 5 to 6 hours of exciting drive to reach at scenic city in Pokhara, located Nepal Mid-West a warmer country but with incredible views of Annapurna Himalaya that reflects on its calm Begnas and Phewa Lakes. On reaching at Pokhara then transfer to a nice hotel by the lakeside of Phewa Lake, with to wander around the lake shore full of stores, shops, restaurants and hotels. (For interested people can take 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu).

Day 04: Drive to Dhampus 1,540 m - 02 hrs, trek to Potana 1,895 m - 03 hrs.

Morning short drive takes you beyond Pokhara valley to reach at the foot of Dhampus Hill at Phedi, located on the road of Pokhara and Beni Highway. From here starting our first day walks with gradual climb for few hours past rural farm fields and villages to reach on top of a hill ridge at Dhampus village with spectacular panorama of Annapurna-Dhaulagiri-Manaslu with towering Machhapuchare Himal or Fish Tail peak, After enjoying super views walk to Potana village along with views of Annapurna peaks then our route leads to climb reaching at another scenic spot at Deurali for overnight stop facing tremendous views of Annapurna Himalaya.

Day 05: Trek to Kokar Forest camp 2,515 m via Deurali 2, 050 m - 05 hrs.

Catch lovely morning views of Annapurna range and then taking a slow climb into forest to reach at Deurali situate above 2,050 m high rewards you with super views of scenic landscapes and mountains, from here our route diverts away from the main trail heading into hidden pockets of Annapurna Himalaya to reach Forest or Jungle Camp also called Kokar located in the midst of beautiful forest. 

Day 06: Trek to Low Camp 2,968 m - 05 hrs.

From Forest Camp, morning walk leads higher on uphill path with steep climb to reach a pasture land for overnight stop on route Mardi base camp at Low Camp also called as Badal Danda, a high ridge with couple of nice simple lodge facing super views of surrounding landscapes and mountains at close range.

Day 07: Trek to High Camp 3,710 m - 05 hrs.

From peaceful spot, morning walk leads with climb into dense woods of tall rhododendron-hemlocks-oaks-magnolia and pine trees, as walk slowly follows the hidden trails within tranquil environment with glimpse of peaks and then heading closer to mountains where tree lines stops for short alpine bushes and shrubs with dwarf rhododendron known as azalea, junipers and Burberry  facing towering Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’ with Mardi Himal at close distance. Slowly walk leads to high ridges at High Camp for overnight stop, afternoon enjoy marvelous views of grand landscapes and snow capped mountains. 

Day 08: At High Camp for hike to Mardi Himal base camp above 4,495 m.

Another overnight stop at High Camp, where hike takes you at the base of Mardi Himal, walks follows a faint trail on high ridge of Mardi Himal facing grand panorama of Annapurna Himalayan range, leading at the bottom of Mardi Himal located right beneath towering peak of Machhapuchare ‘Fish Tail’. Here great views and on the highest spot of the adventure above 4,495 m high within mountains and then retrace walk back to High Camp for last overnight around high Mardi Himal area.

Day 09: Trek to Low Camp - 06 hrs.

From High Camp enjoying wonderful time around high hills of Mardi and Annapurna Himalaya, where morning walks leads on the same path retracing the journey back at Low Camp for overnight stop.

Day 10: Trek to Landruk village 1,520 m - 05 hrs.

Morning from Low and High Camp with last day around Mardi Himal areas as walk takes you on new fresh trail within forested areas on gradual winding path and then descend to a large Gurung village at Landruk with views of Annapurna South and Huinchuli peaks. A nice place for overnight stop and explore the village and witness the local Gurung traditional farm life.

Day 11: Trek to Tadapani 2,630 m - 06 hrs.

Morning walk leads past farm village with downhill walk to reach a bridge over Modi River with steep climb on stone steps to reach at large Gurung village of Ghandruk, after a refreshing break continue climb into cool rhododendron and pine forest as walk heads past few cattle herders shades and grazing land, with few hours steep climb to reach at Tadapani, located in the midst of lovely forest with grand views of Annapurna peaks.

Day 12: Trek to Dobato 3,349 m - 04 hrs.

At Tadapani morning offers stunning sunrise over chain of peaks, having breakfast where walk leads in the hidden path away from main trails and villages for some days. As walk progress and then climb into forested areas to reach at Dobato facing tremendous views of Annapurna peaks, a peaceful spot in the middle of forest.

Day 13: Trek to Kopra Ridge 3,870 m-06 hrs. 

On leaving Bayeli where heights gains slowly leaving tree lines behind where few hours of scenic walk reach you at Kopra ridge for overnight stops, offers scenic views of landscapes facing massive range of Mt. Dhaulagiri with Vara Shikar (Annapurna Fang), Annapurna South from this wonderful spot. 

Day 14: Rest day Khopra Hill and Hike to Khayer Lake 4,620 m /15,157 ft.

Morning hike to holy lake at Khair Lake at an altitude above 4,620 m, a long day hike, but worth the views of giant mountains, a religious site where festival held annually around the month of August to worship and prayer to Lord Shiva and bathe in the icy waters, sacrifice sheep and goats, after a great moment head back to Khopra ridge for overnight stops.

Day 07: Trek to Sauta village 2,200 m - 05 hrs.

Enjoying great walks within hidden areas of Annapurna remote wilderness from Sauta village onwards, morning facing great views of Dhaulagiri-Nilgiri’s with Annapurna Fang (Vara-Shikar) on downhill to Chistibung a small farm place. After this lonely spot back to green vegetation and tree lines as walk leads to long descend to reach a nice farm village of Santa with views of Dhaulagiri range, 

Day 16: Trek to Ghorepani village 2,880 m - 05 hrs.

From Sauta village where walk leads on main trail at Chitre with steep climb into woodland to reach Ghorepani located rhododendron forest with fabulous views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, this village where all houses painted blue that blends with its beautiful surrounding, with many good lodges at the base of Poon Hill, populated with Poon people of Magar ethnic tribe.

Day 17: Hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and trek to Tirkhedhunga 1,460 m.

Early morning start with an hour hike to Poon-Hill at above 3,210 m and 10,531 ft high, facing stunning views of sunrise over range of mountains from Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu to Annapurna extends far towards Ganesh Himal includes Mt. Machhapuchare “The Fish Tail”. After an enjoyable view of mountains with striking sunrise walk back to Ghorepani and then continue trek downhill to Tirkhedhunga village, where walk lead within nice cool forest with long descend from Ulleri village to overnight stop at small nice farm village Tirkhedhunga with beautiful waterfalls.

Day 18: Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara 860 m - 5 hrs.

Last day within high hills of Annapurna, where morning walks start with descends towards low and warm farm areas past village of Hille and Bhirethati to reach on the road head at Nayapul, where few hour drive takes you at Pokhara for overnight stops by the famous and scenic Phewa Lake.

Day 19: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Having early breakfast where interesting drive brings you back in Kathmandu, as drive departs from Pokhara (either tourist coach or in private vehicles), as journey leads past many nice farm villages and town, from Mugling Bazaar following Trisuli River for sometimes, and then on winding uphill to reach into Kathmandu valley as well back to your respective hotels. 

Day 20: Depart Nepal for international flight home-ward bound.

Last day in the country of Himalayan wonders, after an amazing experience and wonderful memories of Mardi Himal-Poon Hill and Khopra trek with great services of Nepal High Point Trekking and its friendly guide, then depart from the hotel as per your flight time our staff transfers you to Kathmandu international airport for your home-ward flight or to next respective countries.
