Q2. What are the visa requirements?
Visas are obtainable from embassies abroad or on arrival at Kathmandu's Airport.
Visa fee structure for Tourist visa
For Indian Nationals: Visa is not required. However, they have to show valid identification that is passport, citizenship etc. for children under age 10 year no identification is required.

Q4. What is the accommodation like during Trekking to Everest base Camp?
In Kathmandu: Generally, it depends on you, which standard hotel do you need to stay in, options are: Tourist standard hotel, 2 Star, 3 star, 4 star, 5 star.
During Trek: You may accommodate in tea house or lodge or tented camp.
Q5: What currency should I take?
Generally, you can bring USD or Euro or any other to the Kathmandu and exchange it in airport or other money exchange counter, however, you will not get exchange during trekking. So make sure that you have Nepalese currency with you during your trek. Also, some of banks are providing service that you can withdraw NPR from the ATM using your international master card.
Q6. Do I need fitness to trek?
Generally, Everest Base Camp trekking requires 7 hours walk per day in average, and you may carry small bag with 6-8 KG. Some acclimation is required and you can decide whether you are fit enough for trekking or not.
Q7. How old do I need to be for Everest base camp trekking?
Everest base Camp Trekking is quite adventurous, so 18 years + is recommended. If you are 16, you may walk with your guardians.
Q8. What is the best season to trek or what will the weather be like?
Low Season (End Nov - March)
Daytime temperatures will be cooler, and the nights will be very cold. The days can bring winter storms, with regular snowfall above 2500m. Domestic flights are difficult at this time of year.
Monsoon (Jun – Mid Sep)
Temperatures are hot, with heavy rainfall almost every day. Trails can be very muddy, with frequent thunderstorms and high winds.
Trekking season (End Mar-May & Mid Sep – End Nov)
The most popular time to trek with mild – warm days and cold nights. The mornings tend to be clear, with some short rainfall in the late afternoons. In the higher altitudes, the temperatures often drop below freezing in the evening. At Everest Base Camp, the temperatures can drop as low as -15°C.
