Chulu West Peak Climbing lies on the Annapurna Region of Nepal which is an elevation of 6419m high. Chulu West Peak offers an interesting peak climbing opportunity for those looking for an adventure in the Annapurna Region. Chulu West Peak is very popular for its spectacular mountain landscape, trekking and mountaineering opportunity and experience the people from mix ethnic culture of Nepalese society.

Chulu west peak climbing is one of the demanding trekking peak climbs in Nepal.  However, joining on this climb requires a good physical condition and a high degree of stamina. We provide a climbing training guideline course with our very experienced climbing guides, you will learn and practice all the climbing techniques you will need. The training includes practical use of crampons, ice axes, ropes etc. Chulu peak climbing is also very good scenery experience with the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna, and other Himalaya peaks.

Day1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

Day 2: Preparation for the Program and sightseeing tour of Kathmandu

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m/2,493ft) 7 hours

Day 4: Trek to Bahundanda (1,398m/45,86ft) 6 and half hours

Day 5: Trek from Bahundanda to Chamje (1,410m/4,625ft) 5-6 hours

Day 6: Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap (2,080m/6,824ft) 6 and half hours

Day 7: Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame (2,720m/8,923ft) 5 hours

Day 8: Trek to Pisang (3,060m/10,039ft) 5 hours

Day 9: Pisang to Manang (5-6hours) 3,450m/11,316ft

Day 10: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m).

Day 11: Yak Kharka to Chulu West Peak.

Day 12: At Base Camp rest day for acclimatization and preparations

Day 13: Base camp to High camp.

Day 14: Chulu High camp to summit [6419m/21,055ft] and back to base camp.

Day 15: Base camp to Thorong La Phedi. (5,416m).

Day 16: Trek to Muktinath via Thorang La (3,760m/12,335ft) 8 hours

Day 17: Trek to Jomsom (3,500m/11,482ft) 6 hours

Day 18: Fly to Pokhara and drive to Kathmandu

Day 19: Rest day or shopping day at Kathmandu

Detail Itinerary

Day1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel

One of our representative will receive you at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. After your time to settle in and freshen up after your long flight, we all meet our office for a briefing about the trip. Meeting with trekking guide and discuss necessary matter and we will process for the trekking permits. If you arrive at night, we will have the same discussion in next day morning after breakfast.

Day 2: Preparation for the Program and sightseeing tour of Kathmandu

After your breakfast, one of well experience city tour guide will pick you from your hotel and leave for a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You will visit Pashupatinath Temple (Hindu temple), Swyambhunath temple (Buddist temple), UNESCO World Heritage sites. After you return to your hotel, you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner stay overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m/2,493ft) 7 hours

The journey starts very early in the morning after your breakfast, our guide will meet you at the hotel as per departure time. Today our target is to the Besisahar through Prithivi highway. After that the road turns towards north to Besisahar. We will pass through the bank of Trishuli River and then through the bank of Marshyangdi River. This is an excellent drive which has interesting scenery of the Mountains, Rivers, waterfalls and Jungle as well as farm terraces and village on the mountains.  Stay overnight at the lodge at Besisahar.

Day 4: Trek to Bahundanda (1,398m/45,86ft) 6 and half hours

This is the first day of walking; we start walk very early in the morning after breakfast. This is easy walk through the dusty road towards north of the valley and reaches at Bhulbhule before crossing the suspension bridge over Marsyangdi River. We can view Mt. Manaslu and Nagdi Chuli including many waterfalls and Gurung village. Finally, we will reach to Bahundanda for overnight stay.

Day 5: Trek from Bahundanda to Chamje (1,410m/4,625ft) 5-6 hours

We start our walk after breakfast at the lodge itself, the trail drops steep down to the bottom of the hill and few up downs to Syange to cross suspension bridge. You can have view of waterfall at Syange. Then the trail continue leads few uphill and few down hills to Chamje. We stay overnight at Chamje.

Day 6: Trek from Chamje to Bagarchhap (2,080m/6,824ft) 6 and half hours

The day begins with the trail drops down to the river to cross the bridge and continue climbs up along the river bank to Tal Phedi. Tal is a first village of Manang District which is located on the bank of the Marsyangdi River. After experience of tal village with tibetian culture, the walk continues up and down to Dharapani village and continues up to Bagarchhap for stay.

Day 7: Trek from Bagarchhap to Chame (2,720m/8,923ft) 5 hours

We wake up early in the morning and have breakfast, then we start walking with slightly climbs up to Danaque from where you will enjoy the view of Mt.Manaslu. Then passing through the old village of Tyanja we walk through the pine forest to Chame which is district headquarter of Manang. Stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Trek to Pisang (3,060m/10,039ft) 5 hours

Today's walk leads to uphill to the narrow valley to cross a metal bridge over the River and climb up to Dhukure Pokhari. This is wide valley from where you will see the valley where you will have to walk further to get on the top of the high pass of Thorang La. After easy walk you will get in to Pisang for overnight.

Day 9: Pisang to Manang (5-6hours) 3,450m/11,316ft

The cold, dry climate creates a much harsher environment. Incredible views of the towering Himalayan Peaks. Manang is a great Mt. Valley which has a rich customs & tradition and gives you an opportunity to observe a traditional lifestyle of Manangi People. Overnight stay at lodge.

Day 10: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m).

We will walk northwards to Yak Kharka. While trekking, we can have one of the most amazing view on Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak. We will spend the night in local guest house.

Day 11: Yak Kharka to Chulu West Peak.

Today, we will trek to the base camp of Chulu West Peak. It will take several hours and we will spend the night in a camp.

Day 12: At Base Camp rest day for acclimatization and preparations

A necessary rest or free day for acclimatization with preparations sorting out gear for the climb, afternoon short hike around on this beautiful surrounding enclosed with snowcapped peaks.

Day 13: Base camp to High camp.

Today we will trek towards high camp. It is relatively tough but very gratifying. After trekking for around 6 hours we will reach our destination where we will adapt to the harsh environment. Our guide will quikly setup the tent and stay overnight.

Day 14: Chulu High camp to summit [6419m/21,055ft] and back to base camp.

A celebration day!!! After all preparation, we start climbing the peak from the west side. The climbing will be difficult but worth. After ascending up the main trail, we will finally reach the summit and then spend some time with the thought of all dreams in life, take natural therapy with pray and after celebrate the success. slowly climb down and return to base camp. And stay overnight on tent.

Day 15: Base camp to Thorong La Phedi. (5,416m).

After completion of dream, we make our another trip to Muktinath. From base camp, we will now trek to Thorong La Phedi, and from here we can have beautiful view of the mountains. After trekking for around 4 hours, we will reach Thorong La Phedi where we will spend the night in a local lodge.

Day 16: Trek to Muktinath via Thorang La (3,760m/12,335ft) 8 hours

Today trip to cross Thorang la pass which starts early morning before sunrise. If you stop at Phedi you start an hour earlier so that you can to the top of the pass before 10 am which is the perfect time before wind blows violently. After short photo break on the top, you drop long way down to Muktinath.

Day 17: Trek to Jomsom (3,500m/11,482ft) 6 hours

Today is the last day of your walk, we pass through the Kaligandaki valley and leads through the bank of the holy river where you may find Fossils called Shaligram a part of Lord Bishnu. Finally reach Jomsom and overnight at the lodge.

 Day 18: Fly to Pokhara and drive to Kathmandu

Wake up early morning and transfer to the airport to catchup first flight to Pokhara. It is scenic flight over deepest George in the world and between high Himalayas of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. You continue drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Or If you would like to spend your time in Pokhara we would help to for further arrangements of accommodation. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 19: Rest day or shopping day at Kathmandu

Free day in Kathmandu you can plan for shopping.

Day 20: Departure day

Today is the last day of the trip, If you would like to extend your holiday with us, we will help you if you require otherwise we will assist you to the airport as per your flight departure time.
