Langtang Valley Trekking a combination of scenic views with enjoyable time walking around traditional hill villages where you can soak in native colorful culture and custom, as well entering into lovely serene woodland of tall pines and rhododendron trees which makes an excellent home for elusive Red Panda and other wild-life. As walk leads into deep gorge covered with the dense forest as journey reaches into a wide scenic Langtang valley at Kyanjin the highest spot of the adventure where you will have enough time to immerse within the fabulous panorama of mountains. Starting this wonderful Langtang Valley Trekking taking an exciting drive towards the north of Kathmandu as Langtang Himal the nearest mountain destination from the capital as well the first National Park of Nepal Himalaya. Drive leads you to interesting farm villages and town to reach Dhunche, headquarter town of Rasuwa district within Langtang Himal and home of Tamang ancient mountain tribes of high Himalaya, where walk leads you ups along the mountain trails with constant views of snow-capped peaks to Langtang Valley and then back for exciting drive to Kathmandu, on completing a great exciting journey on Langtang Himal Trekking.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu, world heritage site

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,503 m - 06 hrs.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,450 m - 06 hrs.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village 3,430 m - 06 hrs.

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,830m / 12, 565ft - 04 hrs.

Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel - 06 hrs.

Day 08: Drive to Syabrubesi - 06 hrs.

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel - 06 hrs.

Day 10: Depart Nepal for international flight home-ward bound.


Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

On reaching Kathmandu international airport received by our staff and guide with a warm welcome then transfer to your hotel in the center of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed in your rooms join for group briefing regarding your stay in Nepal, where guides will provide information about the trek-local lodge-hotels- culture and other necessary information related to this trekking.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing, visit world heritage site

Sightseeing around Kathmandu, as the valley is steeped with many world heritage sites and important monuments and religious-historical sites. You will visit Pashupatinath (Hindu Temple), Baudanath stupa, Swyambhunath stupa (Mokey temple), Patan durbar square.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,503 m - 06 hrs.

Morning early morning start after breakfast, for long and interesting overland the journey towards Nepal’s North-West highway reaching warmer areas of Nuwakot at Trisuli Bazaar, as the drive continues to cooler region reaching in Dhunche headquarter town of Rasuwa district, where Langtang National Park starts. Drive continue following farm village on downhill till Syabrubesi village to end the driving journey of the day with a first overnight stop at Syabrubesi village.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,450 m -06 hrs.

From Syabrubesi walk starts heading high within farm areas and above a river to reach into the dense forest of tall rhododendron-oaks-pines and magnolia trees with some bamboo stalks, where Red Panda and other wild-life often seen around. On reaching a place near Bamboo, walk leads on a winding path to reach an open area surrounded within the forest at Lama Hotel having few good lodges for an overnight stop.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang Village 3,430 m – 06 hrs.

Morning walk leads into dense woodland around river gorge to reach a small place at Ghodetabela with few houses serving as a lodge, with time here for a possible lunch stop and then start walking into deep forest to reach our overnight destination at Langtang village encountering some Buddhist religious monuments of prayer walls and spinning bells. Populated by Tamang tribes where you can catch views of Langtang Lirung above the village, the area around Langtang was badly shaken and damaged from avalanche caused by April 25 th and May 15 th huge 2015 earthquakes, this and around other villages slowly getting back to normal life.

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin 3,830 m / 12, 565 ft - 04 hrs.

From Langtang village, where morning leads to walk to reach at Kyanjin within scenic Langtang valley, with a short climb to reach a hill top and then on gradual path entering into a wide open valley of Langtang and at Kyanjin with many good lodges for an overnight stay. Kyanjin offers tremendous mountain panorama within the beautiful Langtang valley enclosed by an array of giant peaks.

Day 07: Trek to Lama Hotel - 06 hrs.

After lovely moments around beautiful Langtang valley at Kyanjin, where morning walks leads back on the same route, with ample to view places of interest. A nice walk leads you back into farm villages of Langtang and Ghodetabla and entering into dense rhododendron and bamboo forest to reach at Lama Hotel for overnight stops in the midst of wonderful green surroundings, located in a river gorge of upper Trisuli or Langtang Khola.

Day 08: Trek to Syabrubesi - 06 hours walk.

Last day walk of marvelous journey heading back to Syabrubesi, morning trek leads on the same trail with much downhill through farm villages and terraced fields and eventually reaching at Bhote Kosi River which later joins with Trisuli River, after crossing a suspension bridge a pleasant walk brings you at Syabrubesi for last and final overnights around Langtang Himal area and at Rasuwa district.

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel - 06 hrs.

Morning drive back to Kathmandu on the same interesting highway with an exciting time as drive leads through rural farm villages and towns with views of mountains after six hours journey reaching in Kathmandu, then transfer to your respective hotels.

Day 10: Depart Nepal for international flight home-ward bound.

Last day in the country of Himalayan wonders, after an amazing experience and wonderful memories of Langtang Valley treks with great service of Nepal High-Point Trekking and then depart from the hotel as per your flight time our staff transfers you to Kathmandu international airport for your homeward flight or to next respective countries.
