Seasons: Nearly all season of the month can trek to Annapurna Base Camp, except the wet months from mid-June to mid-September falls within Monsoon time with heavy rains and dark clouds to obstruct the views and walks. March to May the best time when morning to mid-day with clear fine weather for views and walks with mild temperatures, right times for treks around Annapurna region when wildflowers are in full bloom times, especially the rhododendron flowers. Q2. If I want to stay in luxurious hotel in Pokhara, is it possible?

Ans: Yes, within the package you will accomodate in tourist stadard hotel. however, If you want luxurious hotel please let us know, we will arrange in best price.

Q3. I want to fly from kathmandu to Pokhara instead of tourist bus, is it possible? 

Ans: Yes, everday flight is available from kathmandu to pokhara, if you wish to fly please let us know, we will book flight and reduce tourist bus cost.

Q4. What currency should I take? 

Ans: Generally, you can bring USD or Euro or any other to the Kathmandu and exchange it in airport or other money exchange counter, however, you will not get exchange during trekking. So make sure that you have Nepalese currency with you during your trek. Also, some of banks are providing service that you can withdraw NPR from the ATM using your international master card.

Q5. Do I need fitness to trek? 

Generally, Annapurna Base Camp trekking requires 5-6 hours walk per day in average, and you may carry small bag with 6-8 KG. Some acclimation is required and you can decide whether you are fit enough for trekking or not.


Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, receive you in Kathmadu airport and transfer to the hotel

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will pick you up from Kathmandu airport and transfer to your hotel in private car. On checking into your rooms getting refreshed briefing of the treks with other useful information.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing, world heritage site

Sightseeing around Kathmandu, as the valley is steeped with many world heritage sites and important monuments and religious-historical sites. You will visit Pashupatinath (Hindu Temple), Baudanath stupa, Swyambhunath stupa (Mokey temple), Patan durbar square.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 860 m -06 hrs. journey

Morning after your breakfast we start heading towards pokhara by comfortable tourist coach, where a drive leads to warmer low farm areas to reach Nepal Mid-West at Pokhara by the shore of beautiful Phewa Lake. Where all nice hotels located with views of lakes and Annapurna peaks overnight in the comfort tourist standard hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga 1,950 m - 05 hrs.

With pleasant nigh-stop at Pokhara, morning leads with a short drive to reach the starting point of the trek at Nayapul town or beyond to Bhirethati village, a nice place on the side of Modi River. The walk starts heading with slow uphill trail overlooking snow peak views to reach Tikhedhunga, facing views of rolling hills and snow-capped peaks of Annapurna.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (poonhill) - 06 hrs.

From Tikhe Dhunga catching morning views of Annapurna peaks, where walks lead to a short steep climb towards Ghorepani. After scenery walk for 6 hours we reach to Ghorepani poonhill for overnight stay.  

Day 06:  Trek to Tadapani - 5 - 6 hrs.

After a nice overnight stop in Ghorepani poonhill morning starts walk towards Tadapani. High Himalayan view of Annapurna region, we reach to Tadapani for overnight stay.

 Day 07:  Trek to Chhomrong - 06 hrs.

Early morning after hot breakfast we start our trail towards Chhomrong, we ridge reaching gradual winding path paved with fine stonework to reach above Chomrong village and then a short descend to reach a nice and large village of Chomrong for overnight stop. One of the largest Gurung villages around Annapurna region and as well the last permanent human settlement on route to Annapurna Base Camp and Sanctuary where other areas beyond are just temporary settlement for trekkers.

Day 08:  Trek to Himalayan Hotel- 5 to 6 hrs.

We prepare path for nice location in Annapurna region, Himalayan hotel. Today we walk in the nice trail of Himalayan range. Stay overnight in Himalayan hotel.

Day 09:  Trek to Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhare base camp. 4,130 m - 04 hrs.

After a refreshing overnight stop at Himalayan hotel our walk starts to reach our main highlight at Annapurna base camp, from through Machhapuchare where Annapurna Sanctuary starts right up to base camp, walk leads to short ups to reach a level ground on a huge field or a plateau within Sanctuary enclosed by array of peak and soon walk leads to a welcome sign-post of Annapurna Base Camp. Reaching our final destination and the highest spot at above 4,095 m high situated beneath towering Mt. Annapurna and range of other peaks of Vara-Shikar, Gangapurna with Annapurna South. Annapurna Base Camp, one and only base camp in whole Himalaya region with the facility of the nice and cozy lodge, where rooms face views of Annapurna peaks.

Day 10:  Trek to Bamboo 2,050m - 06 hrs.

Enjoying lovely moments with awesome scenery of peaks at Annapurna base camp, a long walk today on the downhill with few short ups to reach a Bamboo place for an overnight stop, and back into tall tree lines and lush vegetation, after being on arctic zone climate at Annapurna base camp and sanctuary.

Day 11:  Trek to Jhinu Danda with hot spring 1,700 m - 06 hrs.

The return journey back to Chomrong with ups and downhill trail, from Chomrong hilltop our route diverts to another fresh new trail to reach at nice hill village at Jhinu located on a ridge with grand scenery of rolling hills and mountains. Jhinu provides refreshing natural hot-spring for interested people which is a mere distance downhill of half hour to the hot spring with two nice warm pools close to raging Modi-River.

Day 12:  Trek to Kande and drive to Pokhara 860 m- 05 hrs.

Our last day of marvelous walks on Annapurna Base Camp trekking ends with downhill past farm villages following Modi River downstream to reach lower warm farm areas and rural village, where an exciting drive takes you back at beautiful Pokhara near to the shore of Phewa Lake for overnight in the comfort of nice hotels.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Morning transfer for the journey back to Kathmandu where a drive leads on the scenic and interesting road past farm villages and towns and then uphill to reach Kathmandu valley and the city. After an exciting drive of 5-6 hours reaching Kathmandu and transfer to hotel with afternoon free for individual activities.

Day 14: International departure for homeward bound.

Last day in Nepal the country of Himalayan wonders and impressive cultures, as your international flight time transfer to the international airport in Kathmandu for home-ward bound or to respective destinations, after a memorable experience on Annapurna Base Camp Trekking with great services of Highpoint Trekking.
